Incentives for Successful Overseas Employment

Incentives for Successful Overseas Employment For local settlement and continuous service of youths who have been successfully employed abroad, the HRD Korea provides incentives.


Details of Support

No. of Individuals Amount of Support
2,500 (individual)
  • Countries for preferential treatment for funding: 4 million won; other countries: 2 million won
  • For youths classified as difficult in finding a job, 4 million won is given regardless of the country
  • Subsidies are divided and provided in two terms

Country Classification

  • Countries for preferential treatment for funding: Emerging countries such as Southeast Asia, Central and South America,
    Middle East, Eurasia, Africa, etc.
    * All other countries except 26 advanced countries
  • Other countries (26 classified as advanced countries)
    : Greece, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, United States, Belgium, Sweden,
    Switzerland, Spain, Singapore, Iceland, Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, Israel, Italy, Japan, Canada,
    Portugal, France, Finland, Hong Kong

Qualifications for Application & Employment Recognition

Qualifications for Applicants Criteria for Employment Recognition
  • Age: 34 or younger
  • Income Level: the total income including oneself and the parents and spouse corresponds to the 8th bracket or lower
  • Date of Employment: after September 4, 2016
  • Registering at Worldjob Plus prior to employment
  • Acquisition of a working visa
  • Annual salary: 15 million won+
  • Contract term: at least 1 year
  • Occupation: simple labor work excluded

  • 1st Incentive
    • 1. Work visa
    • 2. A copy of work contract
    • 3. Proof of employment (in 1 month)
    • 4. A photocopy of one's bankbook
    • 5. A certificate of family relation (one's family)
    • 6. A copy of agreement on personal information use
      (one's information)
    • 7. A copy of agreement on personal information use
      (one's parents and spouse)
      For youths classified as difficult in finding a job, more documents may be required
  • 2nd Incentive
    • 1. Proof of employment (in 6 months)
    • 2. A copy of agreement on personal information use
      (one's information)
      Refer to 'instructions for preparation of documents and cautions in the public advertisement of the program
  • 1st incentive: From the end of the first month of working to
    the end of the business year
  • 2nd incentive: From the end of the 6th month of working to 2 months from then
    Example:
    • The end of the 6th month of job seeker A's working
      (Jan.1 to June.30) => Until 2 months later (August.29)
    • The end of the 6th month of job seeker B's working
      (Jan.2 to July.1) => Until 2 months later (August.31)
