Selection of Foreign Workers

Passing is a basic requirement of employment in Korea but it does not guarantee
employment
Pass Criterion Among scorers above the lowest standard by industry, successful candidates are determined in the order of grades up to the expected number.
Skills Test
Test Section Physical fitness, interview, basic job performance skills
Application The examination result is provided to the employer as basic data along with the interview video and other relevant information.

Sojourn Support

Training Program
  • Provide counseling on grievances, resolving issues, and mediating disagreement for foreign workers and their employers
  • Provide information on the Korean language and laws related to livelihood
  • Provide interpretation and translation along with other sojourn support services
Counseling Service
  • Monitoring program in the early stage of entry
  • Foreign workers help center (7 regional bases, 26 local offices)
  • 24 hour hot line for both employers and foreign workers’ counseling (Interpretation service is available free of charge to
    foreign workers)

  • Foreign workers who have been employed under the EPS for 3 years and returned
        to their country voluntarily within the term (E-9)
  • Allowed to come back earlier and not required to take job training session before entry
